We’ll be playing a game of “Small Mall” on Friday night, Dec 16, (tomorrow!) at Washington Square Mall!
“Small Mall” is our Youth Group version of playing “Hide-n-seek” in the mall. The teens will need to dress up in some way that they don’t normally dress. The adults will then come to the mall and try to find them. Whoever is found the least number of times will get free pizza afterwards! Everyone please bring $5 for pizza.
Meet at the SW church at 6:00pm, already in disguise. You will then sign in, go over the rules and ride the bus to the mall around 6:30pm. The adults will arrive at the mall at 7:00pm to look for you (we are meeting at the McDonalds down the street from SW, on Durham and highway 99, at 6:15pm). When an adult finds you, they need to say your first name.
We’ll be searching for you all at the mall for one hour, from 7-8pm. Everyone meet in the food court at 8:00pm. We’ll then go back to Southwest for the pizza party. We’ll be done eating pizza around 9:30pm.

Here is the plan for this Sunday night, November 20:
First, we will be having a devotional for the whole youth group, grades 7-12. Come back to church at the usual time, 6:00pm, for the short church song service. Then, we’ll go back to the Teen Room (room 5) and sing more praise to God. This will be done around 7:00pm. We will then have each Small Group get together and deliver Thanksgiving baskets to some nearby families.
7th-8th graders, you can go home with your parents when the devotional is over, around 7:00pm. However, if you would like to help us deliver the turkey baskets, you are welcome to! You would just need to go with one of the Small Groups. Each teen Small Group will have 2 turkey baskets to deliver. We will load up the food at Southwest and then drive to wherever they need to be delivered. Adults, we only have 2 church vans, so we will need you to be willing to drive your vehicles as well. We don’t want any teens to be driving.
Have fun and enjoy encouraging some families! We should be done around 8:30pm, the normal end-time for Small Groups.

Hey everyone, we are leaving for the Beach Retreats later TODAY, Thursday November 10.
Meet at Southwest at 5:30pm. We will load up the luggage and leave around 6:00pm. You need to eat dinner before you get there, we won’t be stopping to eat.
We will provide the main meals, but if you want any snacks you will need to bring them yourself. Don’t forget to bring a sleeping bag and a sweatshirt or coat for when you go to the beach. Also bring your favorite game
We should be back on Sunday afternoon around 3:00-4:00pm. Bring $10 for lunch on the way home.

Our next Teen Leadership Team meeting will be on Sunday, November 6, during 2nd service. Mark your calendars! We’ll be doing some more planning for Camp Jonah.

Hey everyone,
THIS Saturday, September 24, is when we’re playing Broom Hockey at the Sherwood Ice Arena!
Meet at SW at 4:45pm or at the Sherwood Ice Arena around 5:10pm. Our actual ice time is from 5:30-6:30pm. We should be done and back to SW around 7:00pm.
This would be a great outreach event, so Bring A Friend! The cost is only $10 each. You also need to bring the activities waiver that was inlcuded in your Youth Group Newsletter (make copies for your friends).
